CHALLENGE
We were asked to create all of the super graphics for the temporary primary school at the Alexandria Park Community School precinct. The primary school wanted to complement the designs in the adjacent high school but challenged us to further develop the visuals to tell a more detailed story of Gadigal Land flora and fauna.
SOLUTION
In collaboration with the school project team and TKDArchitects and we developed original designs for distinct zones within the school (e.g. demountable ends, along walls, major corridors, front of school signage) each with a specific landscape and a carefully selected array of local native flora and fauna.
Each section is distinguished by its vibrant colours and rich visuals of the animals and plants to that environment – and all native to Gadigal Land.

The beautiful ‘Alexandria Park Community School is on Gadigal Land’ sign is displayed in several locations throughout the school and magnificently via a large billboard at the school entrance.
The school principal and staff have said the graphics are the ‘best thing about the temporary school’. They love them so much we have designed a printed a commemorative A3 poster that the school is using as prizes and gifts.
In a complete sense the large scale graphics tell a positive, proud and beautiful story about this school’s place in the community and wider world.
